Executive Team

Amanda Gunter, CEO

Amanda Gunter was introduced to Foothills Playhouse in 1992 when she appeared as the Mother in “Amahl and the Night Visitors.”   After assisting with costumes and appearing in other productions for a few years, she took a break during which her two children were born.  As fate would have it, her daughter fell in love with theatre in the fourth grade after appearing in a walk-on role in “Much Ado About Nothing” at Foothills Playhouse in 2007, and both were drawn back to the theatre for multiple productions.  Amanda joined the Board of Directors in 2011 and has served as Treasurer, Youth Board Advisor and Volunteer Coordinator.  After teaching school music for many years, Amanda opened the Fine Arts Center of Easley on the lower level of West End Hall in 2011, offering music lessons, acting classes, art classes and summer camps for students of all ages. Amanda is wife of Dr. Larry Gunter, who is pastor at Glenwood Baptist Church in Easley.  Their son, Caleb is a Secondary Education major at North Greenville University and their daughter, Hannah, is a Commercial Music major at Anderson University.
